In a message to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday, President Hassan Rouhani expressed sympathy with the Afghan government and people and extended condolences over the recent deadly avalanches in north Afghanistan.
“I announce that the Iranian people, who have always stood by the Muslim and neighboring Afghan nation in different eras and during hard times in Afghanistan’s contemporary history, feel sympathy with this nation over this enormous tragedy,” Rouhani said, IRNA reported.
In addition, the president said Tehran is ready to send relief supplies to Afghanistan.
