Government spokesperson Mohammad Baqer Nobakht said Iran is determined to reach a final agreement with the major powers on its nuclear program by the end of March.
"With regard to the timetable (for the nuclear talks), we are bound to finalize the negotiations with the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) both on details and general terms at most by the end of March," Mohammad Baqer Nobakht told reporters after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, according to IRNA.
After failing to meet a second target date last November to clinch a long-term settlement to the 12-year dispute over Tehran's nuclear program, Iran and its international negotiating partners agreed to work out the basic framework of an accord until March ahead of a new deadline of June 30 for a final deal.
