Backing for Palestinian Resistance Reaffirmed

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s backing for Palestinian resistance groups in their campaigns against the Israeli regime. 
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with Ziyad al-Nakhalah, leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and his accompanying delegation in Tehran on Wednesday. 
The Leader hailed the actions taken by the Palestinian combatant groups to promote political and operational unity among themselves, vowing the continuation of the Islamic Republic’s support for the Palestinian people, Leader.ir reported.
Pointing to the achievements of the resistance groups in the recent conflicts with the Israeli forces, Ayatollah Khamenei said, “The Zionist enemy is today on the defensive, and such a situation indicates that the resistance groups have correctly identified the path and are prudently moving ahead in the right direction.”
The PIJ leader expressed gratitude for the continued Iranian support for the Palestinian people and their struggles against the Israeli regime and expressed hope for greater gains in the fight for the liberation of the occupied Palestinian territories.
