Iranian armed forces are ready for cooperation in any effort aimed at protecting the security of the region, President Ebrahim Raisi said.
“The presence of our armed forces brings about security for the region,” he said in a pass in review ceremony on the occasion of National Army Day, President.ir reported.
He said the message of the national day for the countries of the region is that of peace and friendship.
“Regional nations must know that the power of the Islamic Republic’s armed forces is a message of hope and security for them and that our brave army would always secure their peace and comfort,” he said.
Raisi stressed that non-regional forces, especially American troops, must leave the region as soon as possible since they are a threat to its security.
“They have never provided and will never provide security for the nations of the region, while Iranian armed forces have been a source of security in every part of the region,” he said.
The power of the Iranian armed forces is common knowledge today, as some regional authorities have admitted how they have protected their territorial integrity and security against threats, according to the president.
“Our armed forces will not allow the smallest insecurity in the region by any group and the skies of the region and the Persian Gulf are safer than any time in history thanks to them,” he said.
Enemies of the Islamic Revolution have also received the message of Iranian armed forces’ strength and know that the slightest mistake against Iran will face a serious response, Raisi said.
The president also praised the Iranian army as forces that have faith in God, in themselves and the people.
“Iran’s army is today an up-to-date and well-equipped force whose advanced gear is an indication of its ability to turn threats and sanctions into opportunity,” he said.
Raisi also described the Army as a strong barrier against any anti-revolution forces and terrorist groups.
“The Army of the Islamic Republic protects the country’s interests and provides security from borders to oceans.”

Military Parades

Raisi also watched the military parades by the divisions of the Iranian Army, namely the Ground Force, the Navy, the Air Force, and the Air Defense.
The army units also unveiled a broad range of advanced gear such as homegrown missiles, tanks, armored vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, radar systems and air defense missile systems in the parades marking the national day.
Among the major achievements put on display during the parade was Mohajer-6 drone, which is capable of carrying guided bombs and sophisticated surveillance equipment. It has already been used in combat by the Iranian Armed Forces.
Iran’s first wide-body unmanned combat aerial vehicle, Kaman 22, was also unveiled, along with Iranian suicide drones such as Arash, Kian and Karrar, which could be flown from both ground and offshore launchers.
Kaman 22 is said to have a range of approximately 3,000 kilometers and can carry 300 kilograms of explosives.
Qader medium-range anti-ship cruise missile, laser-guided air-to-ground Sattar missile, Fakour-90 air-to-air missile, Qaem surface-to-air missile, and Shafaq precision-guided missile, which has a range of 20 kilometers, were displayed as well.
The Army’s air defense division unveiled several domestically-developed missile systems, including Damavand strategic and long-range system used for downing various aircraft as well as cruise and ballistic missiles, Nasser 40 navigation assistant radar system, Majid short-range and low-altitude air defense system, Nawab medium-range surface-to-air missile system, Mersad mid-range air defense system, Khordad 15 surface-to-air missile system, and Talash long-range mobile surface-to-air missile system.
The Army also put on display Kian 600, Kian 700 and Kian 800 super heavy tank transporters, Zulfiqar and Tiam main battle tanks, Seraj artillery system which is equipped with a 35-millimeter cannon and uses both a radar and a new optical system to detect and destroy small flying objects, Matla’ al-Fajr VHF 3D radar, Kavosh precision approach radar, and 900-kilogram Qased smart bomb.
Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.
