Iran Will Stand Tall Despite Non-Stop Western Propaganda

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the Islamic Republic will continue to stand tall in spite of constant western propaganda about its imminent downfall.
Since the early days after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, western countries have repeatedly suggested that the Iranian government was about to collapse and even set a timeframe for their claim, according to the Leader.
“We did not surrender and stood up and will continue to stand up,” he said in a meeting with a group of young talents on Wednesday, Leader.ir reported.
He highlighted two analyses about the outcome of the Islamic Republic’s approach, one of which suggests that resistance against powers arising from worldwide norms, such as the United States, is fruitless and doomed to fail.
“Such people consider those with a different view of the world’s realities as delusional,” he said.
The other evaluation is, however, realistic and considers not only good realities, but also bad ones, he explained.
He stressed that the Islamic system has never denied its weaknesses, but the general movement has been toward progress, as evidenced by a comparison between Iran’s current status and that of forty or twenty years ago.
“By this very comparison, one could realize which analysis was realistic, that of the westerners or that of the revolution,” the Leader said.
The Islamic Republic has continued the rapid movement it had started from the back of the caravan and has now reached near the front, he added.
“After four decades since the revolution, with massive hostility and negative propaganda, the existence of numerous elite talents … is the best proof that the revolution’s analysis of the world and the right path for progress was correct.”

Pillars of Progress

Ayatollah Khamenei said the Islamic Revolution prepared the ground for nurturing talented youth by nationwide development of universities and research centers and admitting a great number of students and professors.
“Our academics did not allow the country to be in need of the West,” he said.
The Leader described scientific and academic elite as important pillars of a country’s progress, which is why universities are always targeted by the enemies who try to impede their operation.
“University is the greatest obstacle in the way of the arrogant powers’ dominance … as it upgrades the country’s level of knowledge” he said.
He called on authorities to treat these outstanding talents as a huge national wealth and do all in their power to protect and nurture this influential asset.
“A talent that is graduated in the country or has come from abroad must have an employment opportunity in accordance with their discipline, as well as a chance to research and have contact with international science centers,” he said.
Relevant organizations should also not allow these talented people to become disappointed and discouraged about continuing their work in Iran.
“However much we spend in this area, it would not be cost, but an investment.”
Ayatollah Khamenei also urged the elite to use their capabilities toward addressing the country’s problems.
He advised those who study in foreign universities to return and serve their country after graduation, stressing that the elite must stay by the side their own people.
The exceptionally talented people should not be negligent of their powers and engage in harmful activities, according to the Leader, nor should they remain unaware of the country’s enormous capacities.
Ignorance about enemy plots is also another threat facing these talents, because intelligence services appear in the shape of prestigious scientific centers to deceive these prodigies or poison their minds, he warned.
Before the Leader’s address, several elite talents expressed their views and ideas.
