Resistance Only Way to Counter American Pressure

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said resistance is the only way for nations to counter American pressure campaigns. 
He made the remarks in a meeting with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in Tehran on Saturday, Leader.ir reported.
Ayatollah Khamenei hailed the resistance put up by Iran and Venezuela in the face of heavy pressure and “hybrid warfare” by the US government and said, “The successful experience of the two countries showed that the only way to stand up to such pressure is resistance and resilience.” 
The resistance mounted by the Venezuelan people and government against all-out American onslaughts is highly valuable “because it has uplifted the stature and dignity of your nation and your country’s leaders.” 
Maduro expressed gratitude to Tehran for its support for Caracas during hard times, noting that “at the time that no country came to Venezuela’s assistance, your country helped us come through difficult conditions.” 
In addition, the top Venezuelan official pointed to the agreements signed between the two sides to boost relations and said, “We are working out a precise roadmap for cooperation with Iran in various fields, especially scientific and technological spheres.”
Maduro had earlier in the day met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and co-chaired a meeting of high-level delegations of the two countries, in which a 20-year cooperation agreement was signed. Details of those meetings have been covered in the page two of this edition.
