The foreign ministers of Iran and Oman discussed various issues of interest to both countries in a phone call.
During the Sunday phone call, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Omani counterpart, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation on the international level.
The top Iranian and Omani diplomat also urged continuation of consultations on different mutual and international issues, IRNA reported.
The top Iranian diplomat conveyed warm greetings of President Ebrahim Raisi to Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said and exchanged views with his counterpart on possible ways to resolve regional crises through dialogue among countries in the region.
Amir-Abdollahian expressed hope that necessary ground would be prepared for his visit to Muscat as soon as possible.
The Omani foreign minister hailed positive Tehran-Muscat relations, saying that his country has always emphasized that regional crises should be settled through dialogue while sparing no effort to promote peace.
In a meeting with Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa al-Harthy, the Omani Foreign Ministry’s under-secretary for diplomatic affairs, in Tehran late last month, the Iranian foreign minister said Tehran is committed to dialogue and adoption of political solutions to resolve regional problems.
