The navy’s 33rd fleet, which is comprised of the Bandar Abbas support vessel and the Naqdi warship, docked in the Port of Colombo, Sri Lanka on Monday, Fars news agency reported.
The fleet set sail for the high seas last month on a mission to protect the security of international shipping lanes mainly for Iranian commercial ships and tankers.
According to Fars, the fleet has managed to detect and track over 120 military and non-military units by electronic surveillance systems and lookouts after sailing for about 5,000 kilometers in the north of the Indian Ocean since the start of its mission.
