Deputy Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah Naim Qassem said it is necessary for regional countries to have cooperation with Iran to be able to “protect their borders maintain their integrity”.
The Hezbollah official made the remarks in a ceremony held in Beirut on Saturday to commemorate the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, ISNA reported.
He also said the Islamic Republic has tried to promote three policies, namely not following the West or the East, making efforts to liberate Palestine and fostering unity among Muslim countries, adding, “It is in our interest to strive along these lines.”
In addition, Qassem said an improvement in relations between Tehran and Riyadh is to the benefit of all nations in the region.
