Leader Offers Condolences on Cleric’s Passing

Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei extended condolences on the demise of Hojjatoleslam Javad Ejei who died of the coronavirus disease, known as Covid-19, at the age of 72.
In a message on Saturday, Ayatollah Khamenei described the top cleric as a prominent personality who has left behind an unforgettable heritage.  
“The formation of student Islamic associations in Europe, launch of schools for outstanding students in the country, the fatherly management of young elite societies and contribution to the golden era of winning international scientific medals were among his unparalleled legacies,” the Leader’s message read, Leader.ir reported.   
Ejei was the Leader’s representative for the affairs of Iranian students in Europe and the United States, and the founder of the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents. 
The cleric was also the cousin and brother-in-law of Mohammad Hossein Beheshti, a prominent clerical and judicial figure who was martyred along with more than 70 members of the Islamic Republic Party in 1981.
