The chairman of the Majlis Nuclear Committee said the bill to require the government to step up nuclear work if more sanctions were imposed was introduced as part of MPs' efforts to back the negotiators in the nuclear talks with the major powers. "As the American side has repeatedly raised the issue of the US Congress's efforts to pressure Iran and increase sanctions, the Majlis is backing the negotiating team to help its defend the Iranian nation's nuclear rights," Ebrahim Karkhaneh told IRNA on Wednesday.
