A team of Chinese medical experts arrived in Tehran early Saturday with a new package of humanitarian aid to assist Iran in fighting the coronavirus outbreak.
Five members of the Red Cross Society of China entered Iran to share their experiences and help the country battle the epidemic, China's Ambassador Chang Hua said in his Twitter account.
The humanitarian organization also delivered a sizable donation to Iran's Red Crescent Society, including thousands of COVID-19 extraction and amplification kits and 13 respiration machines.
The World Health Organization also sent its fifth batch of testing kits to Iran on Friday.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif talked to his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, over the phone on Friday, during which the Chinese official announced they are ready to send more aid and share all their findings about the virus.
