Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian was scheduled to attend the 24th summit of heads of state and government of the African Union, which started in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Friday, ISNA reported. The foreign ministry official was also expected to hold meetings with high-level African officials on the sidelines of the event. Iran has observer status at the summit.
