Enrolment for the 11th round of parliamentary and Assembly of Experts’ midterm elections begins on Sunday and wraps up on Dec. 7 across the country.
Jamal Orf, chairman of Iranian Elections Headquarters, said in a press conference on Saturday that all executive personnel, including 2,000 city and district governors, have been trained for the purpose.
"There is no untrained staff and we are up-to-date based on the election calendar," he was quoted as saying by IRNA.
The Iranian Parliament has 290 members who are elected by public vote for four-year terms.
The Assembly of Experts is the deliberative body empowered to designate and dismiss the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Its 86 members are elected by direct public vote for eight-year terms.
However, midterm elections are held to select replacements for members who have passed away or resigned.
