In a telephone conversation on Tuesday, Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Bogdanov, who is President Vladimir Putin's envoy for the Middle East, conferred on the latest developments in Syria and the ongoing meeting between some Syrian opposition groups and representatives of the Damascus government in Moscow. The two officials called for a "political solution" to the Syria crisis and underlined the importance of "national dialogue" to help settle the issue.
