The security conference in Bahrain is another means for spreading propaganda against Iran for the benefit of the United States and its allies, which have failed to take control of the Persian Gulf situation, a lawmaker said.
"Measures against Iran taken by certain Persian Gulf countries that have lost their identity are like swimming against the tide and will have no impact on Iran's influence," Kamal Dehqani also told ICANA.
A two-day conference, co-hosted by Bahrain, the US and Poland, is underway in Manama as part of the so-called Warsaw Process, which started with the Ministerial Meeting to Promote a Future of Peace and Security in the Middle East that took place in the Polish capital earlier this year.
The confab wraps up on Tuesday.
A senior official from Israel was also set to attend the meeting, despite the lack of official relations with the Arab country.
Dehqani blamed regional tensions on the US and Israel, stressing that Persian Gulf security cannot be guaranteed by foreign forces and the onus is on littoral states to reach a consensus about it.
