Car Bomb Hits Mogadishu

A car bomb exploded near a cafe in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital, on Monday, killing at least five people and injuring 10 others, according to a Somali police officer. The car bomb parked outside Bar Italia was detonated near people sitting outside the cafe close to Somalia’s immigration department, said Capt. Mohamed Hussein, ABC News reported. Al-Shabaab, a terrorist group active in Somalia and linked to Al-Qaeda, has claimed the blast. Despite being ousted from most cities and towns, Al-Shabaab continues to carry out deadly attacks in Mogadishu and across large parts of Somalia.
