Schools in Kuwait witnessed 110 serious crimes of various kinds, including one attempted murder, over the course of the most recent full school year (2014-15).

Most of the crimes (68) were assaults, while there were also 31 cases of theft, eight sexual harassment cases, two kidnaps and one attempted murder. The Kuwait Times reported that 99 of these crimes were committed by male students, with 58 committed by Kuwaitis and the rest carried out by expats.

Only 11 crimes were committed by female students, one of whom was an expat, Arabian Business news website reported.

The highest number of crimes were carried out in the Farwaniya district (40), followed by Al Ahmadi with 23, Jahra with 22 and Hawalli with 19.
