HK Protesters Scrap Vote on Next Step

Organizers of Hong Kong’s democracy protests cancelled a Sunday vote on the next step in their month-long street occupation.They say they have not properly consulted the public before calling the referendum on Friday.The spot referendum was supposed to have asked the protesters about counterproposals to Hong Kong’s government offer following last week’s talks between the student leaders and authorities.
