Turkish security forces staged a broad anti-terror operation in Istanbul on Friday morning, police sources have said. Teams from the Anti-Terror Branch Directorate, supported by special forces, staged simultaneous operations in Istanbul’s Buyukcekmece, Kagithane, Beylikduzu, Esenyurt and Beyoglu districts against the terrorist organization PKK’s youth wing, the YDG-H. Police have yet to release the exact number of suspects detained, although a number of women are thought to be among those held, World Bulletin reported.
