Tunisia Extends Emergency State

A state of emergency imposed in Tunisia after a gunman killed 38 foreign tourists in June will be extended for two months, the president’s office announced on Friday. Presidency spokesman Moez Sinaoui said the state of emergency extension was decided because Tunisia “remains at war against terrorism” and because “the causes are still there,” World Bulletin reported.
