Over 100 illegal migrants, mostly from Syria and sub-Saharan Africa, are missing after their vessel disappeared off Libya’s coast over the weekend while traveling en route to Europe. Around 70 people have been rescued. There were reportedly more than 250 illegal migrants on the ship when it sank near the town of Zuawrah, west of Tripoli. About 30 bodies had been recovered.
