8,000 Canadians Evacuated

Nearly 8,000 people were evacuated on Saturday in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan due to a rash of wildfires, officials said. the number of active fires reached 114, after nine new wildfires flared up in the province’s north since Friday. Up to 5,000 of the evacuees were being transported to the neighboring northeastern Alberta Province, Sputnik reported.
