France Rejects Refugee Quota

France’s Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Saturday he is against the European Union’s proposed new quota system for refugees, a plan calling for taking in 20,000 refugees over the next two years and distributing them between the EU member states. Valls said the plan “has never been in line with French proposals,” Sputnik reported.
