South African authorities have detained a 15-year-old girl who was travelling to join the Islamic State (IS), the state security ministry said on Monday. The teenager was intercepted at Cape Town airport on Sunday after evidence was found in her bedroom indicating that she had been in contact with IS recruiters, the ministry added, World Bulletin reported on Tuesday.
