Thailand sentenced two students to jail for two-and-a-half years on Monday on charge of insulting the country’s monarchy in a satirical play performed at a university. Patiwat Saraiyaem, 23, and Porntip Mankong, 26, were both convicted on a count of lese-majeste, which carries a maximum of 15 years in prison, Reuters reported.
