Venezuela Rules on Protests

Venezuela introduced new regulations on Friday which would allow soldiers to open fire if they feel their lives are at risk during protests and demonstrations. Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez said the changes were made in response to three months of violent protests last year. Venezuelan citizen rights groups underlined the rules as “dangerously vague,” BBC reported.
