Last Warning to Fereydunkenar Poachers

Illegal hunters of migratory birds in Fereydunkenar Wetlands in Mazandaran Province that had already been given an ultimatum to remove their gears will face legal action based on an announcement by the provincial Law Enforcement Forces of the Department of Environment.  The DOE had recently indentified 140 poachers in the region and issued warnings to them to collect their traps, Hamshahri Online reported.  Bird hunters in Fereydounkenar, Ezbaran and Sorkhroud wetlands have adopted modern methods of hunting and earn huge profits from the sale of a large number of migratory birds.  Some environmentalists believe that the practice has to be checked and limited to traditional techniques while others insist that it has to be completely banned.
