An Iranian company has developed a smart irrigation system based on pressurized irrigation systems. The manager of the project, Seyyed Reza Reihani-Nia, said foreign samples of the device use satellite data to operate, which is not applicable in Iran.

However, the new device operates on local sensors, Mehr News Agency reported. Reihani-Nia stated that the device can optimize the country's energy consumption, adding that the system works on parameters affecting climate and irrigation, including humidity, temperature and other geographical conditions affecting crop growth. "The new irrigation system can be available in the market for less than $1,500," Reihani-Nia said.
