Yazd Gas Grid Expanding to Mountain Regions

Gas supply to Yazd Province has been expedited and almost 90% of its small towns and villages are now connected to the national gas grid, managing director of the provincial gas company said.
“All 21 cities or 100% of the urban population and some 490 villages in the province now have access to natural gas,” Energy Today quoted Ali Akbar Meidanshahi as saying.
Close to 555 kilometers of pipelines were laid in the province in 2018 and the grid stretches over 1,500 kilometers. It has reached the popular mountain regions resorts about 70 km from Yazd City.
