Power and water projects were launched Wednesday in western Lorestan Province. One supplies water to 96 villages in Aligudarz County, the energy ministry news portal Paven reported.
After launching a water treatment plant that provides potable water to Azna County, the Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian inaugurated a 230-kV electricity substation in Borujerd. A sewage collection network started work in Absardeh village.
On Thursday, he will inaugurate a project to supply water to Kuhdasht County plus a 230-kV power substation.
A wastewater treatment plant in the village of Badrabad and sewage collection network in Masur Village will also start operations.
Operations to repair damaged electricity infrastructure in flood-hit Pol-e Dokhtar region will also commence.
Devastating floods hit several provinces in March and April, claiming the lives of at least 80 people. The deluge destroyed many villages, especially in and near Pol-e Dokhtar.
Heavy rains washed away bridges, inundated houses and destroyed infrastructure in many regions especially Golestan Province in the north, southwestern Khuzestan Province and Lorestan. 
Tens of thousands of people were displaced in the natural disaster unseen in Iran in the recent past.
