Iran's South Pars Phase 13 Supplying Ethane to Onshore Refiners

Phase 13 of the giant South Pars Gas Field in the Persian Gulf started injecting ethane to onshore refineries in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone, operator of the phase said.
Payam Motamed said the injection takes place via the ethane pipeline that came on stream recently and transfers 2,750 tons of ethane on a daily basis, the Oil Ministry news portal Shana reported.
Increase in ethane production over the past nine months has helped petrochemical plants raise ethylene output by 420,000 tons – reaching 7.7 million tons.
