Domestic Firms Undertake Rigless Well Operations

Two Iranian oil and gas companies have jointly conducted high-tech rigless stimulation and clean-up operation on a well in the fourth phase of the giant South Pars Gas Field in the Persian Gulf, saving millions of dollars in expenditure. 
According to ISNA, Pars Oil and Gas Company and Mehran Engineering and Well Services carried out the project for the first time in Iran using Northern Genesis, an offshore supply vessel specially designed to provide anchor handling services and to tow offshore platforms.  
The successful operation was the result of two years of studies, engineering, design and risk analysis by domestic firms.
