Gasoline Use Exceeds 83 ml/d

Gasoline consumption between May 21 and June 21 reached an average of 83.6 million liters per day, data released by the National Iranian Oil Company show. The figure indicates an 11.2% increase compared with the corresponding figure of last year (75.2 ml/d), Shana reported. Gasoline consumption in the second Iranian month (ended May 21) reached 84.7 million liters per day. Reportedly, the country’s use of the fuel so far this year (March 21-June 21) averaged 85.1 million liters per day, indicating a 10% hike compared with that of last year (77.4 ml/d). This is while the country's diesel consumption roughly reaches 68.8 million liters per day in the period, showing a 0.8% decrease compared with that of last year's 69.3ml/d. The country has used 67.5 million liters of diesel per day since March 21, indicating a 5.2% rise compared with the corresponding figure of last year (64.1 ml/d).
