Iranian petrochemical exports exceeded 22 million tons in the last fiscal year that ended on March 21. According to Shana, domestic producers exported 22.41 million tons of petrochemical and polymer products valued over $12 billion, NIPNA, the National Petrochemical Company's news service, reported on Saturday.
Nouri Petrochemical Company shipped over $1.31 billion worth of products in the period, making it the biggest Iranian petrochemical exporter in terms of revenue.
The company is among the world's largest producers of aromatics with an annual capacity of 4.5 million tons. In terms of volume, Zagros Petrochemical Company in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone topped other producers in the sector by exporting 2.97 million tons of petrochemical goods. PSEEZ, located in the southeast Bushehr Province by the Persian Gulf, is home to major oil, gas and ýpetrochemical facilities.
The zone exported over 11.4 million tons of goods last year with a value of $5.98 billion.
