Iranian engineers have completed the construction of a natural gas-fueled power station and a refinery near the Omani capital Muscat, Tasnim news agency reported Monday. “We followed all the required safety and technical standards in accomplishing the project,” said the head of the board of directors of the project contractor, Hirbodan Management Co.

Saeed Marjavi added that the Muscat project has been one of the major construction projects in the field of energy carried out by Iranian engineers in a foreign country in the past few years. “The project took three years and over 100 million dollars to be completed,” Marjavi stated, adding that the Iranian minister of industry, mine and trade will travel to Oman in the near future to visit the refinery and the power plant in Muscat.
