High Euro-4 Gasoline Supply in Tehran

Over 90% of regions in Tehran Province are supplied with Euro-4 quality gasoline and diesel, the managing director of Tehran's National Iranian Oil Distribution Company said. According to Keramat Veiskarami, daily gasoline consumption in the province stood at 15.5 million liters on average between March 21 and Nov. 22, indicating a 6% increase compared with the corresponding period of last year, Mehr News Agency reported on Tuesday. Pointing to diesel use, Veiskarami said, "Close to 5.5 million liters of diesel were burnt in the province in the period, showing a 5% decline compared with that of previous year." Asked about other fuels, the official said kerosene and mazut consumption during the last eight months amounted to 40,000 and 45,000 liters respectively, indicating a 5% and 60% decline compared with last year's corresponding period. "There are four fuel storage facilities in Tehran Province, which distribute 33.6 million liters of oil byproducts in the province daily," he said.
