The 11th International Kish Energy Exhibition is scheduled to be held on Kish Island from January 12-15, few weeks before the new Iran Petroleum Contract (IPC) model is set to be unveiled in London.
Companies from 11 countries will take part in the international event which will showcase investment opportunities as well as progress in the key oil, gas, petrochemical, water, electricity and renewable energy sectors, Tasnim News Agency reported.
The London seminar (Feb. 23-25) will seek to attract foreign capital, services and technology for some of Iran's petrochemical projects, in addition to unveiling the new oil contracts for the first time. Head of Society of Iranian Petroleum Industries Equipment Manufacturers (SIPIEM), Reza Padidar believes the Kish expo will help create an opportunity to boost economic relations with foreign and domestic companies prior to the highly-publicized London gathering.
As per the new oil a contract, 25 percent of executive work is to be assigned to Iranian companies. Padidar said the Kish exhibition would also offer a suitable platform for Iranian companies to demonstrate their national and international potential, thereby leading to new oil contracts with the private sector.
Noting that the Kish show aims to also attract investments in the petroleum industry, Padidar said SIPIEM, which comprises more than 700 members, has asked the ministry of energy to participate in the exhibition, along with its four major companies, namely: National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), National Petrochemical Company (NPC), and the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC). Foreign participants at the Kish exhibition can fly directly to the Persian Gulf trade-tourist resort and get visas on arrival.
