Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company (BIPC) established 2 units for production of olefins and glycols to increase the supply of feedstock to downstream units, Shana news agency reported Tuesday. Olefins are often used as feedstock for producing plastics and industrial chemicals. BIPC has produced around 4,600 tons of petrochemicals in the past 9 months.
