Iran’s Behin Energy Company has signed a memorandum of understanding with two South Korean firms for collaboration in wide-ranging energy projects.

The MoU calls for carrying out oil, gas and petrochemical projects under engineering, procurement, construction and financing contracts, constructing refineries, establishing small liquefied natural gas production plants and power stations as well as building LNG and liquefied gas storage tanks, IRNA reported.

The two sides have already taken steps to market and sell Iran’s liquefied petroleum gas, the report added.

The MoU was reportedly part of 10 preliminary agreements signed between Iran and South Korea last month on expanding collaboration in diverse areas, including parts manufacturing, fishing industry, marine environment, apiculture, bio-fertilizer and casting.

Behin Energy Company, a subsidiary of Pasargad Energy Development Company, is a trader of equipment and petrochemical products in domestic and international markets, the company’s website said.

E&C Co. Ltd. provides civil, transportation, telecommunication infrastructure and building construction services to customers in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Latin America. It offers services in the areas of planning, feasibility studies, sale, design, engineering, construction, operation, maintenance and installation for chemical and power plant projects.
