By employing offshore and onshore rigs, the National Iranian Drilling Company has drilled over 96,000 meters of oil and gas wells nationwide since the beginning of the current fiscal year in March, NIDC's managing director said. Stressing that operations were completed ahead of schedule, Hamidreza Khoshayand added that 40 wells were drilled for the National Iranian South Oil Company, four for Iranian Offshore Oil Company, nine for Petroleum Engineering and Development Company and one for Exploration Service Company, all in Khuzestan Province. State-owned NIDC—a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company—is in charge of all offshore and onshore drilling activities. The company’s services include well logging, cementing and acidizing, drill stem test, well testing, training, development and general services, ISNA reported on Wednesday.
