Britain's Centrica has made a small gas discovery northeast of the Aasta Hansteen field in the Norwegian sea, the Norwegian petroleum directorate was quoted by Reuters as saying. Preliminary calculations showed the find contains between two and eight billion standard cubic meters of recoverable gas, but it was not yet possible to determine if the discovery is economically viable, it said.
