At least one person was killed in a fire that broke out in a ship carrying petroleum products docked at a port in Sharjah, UAE, on Saturday. Four people were injured in the fire that was brought under control by the Sharjah Civil Defense personnel by afternoon with the help of coast guards, and the management of Al Hamriyah Port, Trade Arabia reported. They safely evacuated 16 workers from the ship and also controlled the diesel from spilling into the sea and preventing any further pollution, it stated. The cause of the fire, which broke out early morning on the ship with a Panama flag, was unknown, said a senior Sharjah Civil Defense personnel.
