S. Arabia Resumes Oil Sales to Egypt

In March Saudi Arabia shipped four cargoes of oil products to Egypt, according to Saudi Oil Minister Khalid al-Falih on Thursday. The kingdom's agreement with Egypt to reinstate a purchase order on hiatus is going well, the Saudi minister said on the sidelines of a meeting of Arab ministerial council of electricity in Cairo, Zawya reported. Saudi Arabia agreed in April last year to provide Egypt with 700,000 tons of refined oil products a month for five years, but the cargoes stopped arriving in early October. Aramco did not provide official reasons for the halt. Though officials from both sides have denied the existence of tensions or disagreements between the North African nation and the oil kingdom, the two countries have been at odds on a number of political issues.
