Lithuania Eyes Investment in Iranian LNG Projects

Lithuania has shown interest in taking part in Iranian LNG projects, according to the deputy oil minister for international affairs and trading.

Following a meeting with Lithuania’s Deputy Energy Minister Aleksandras Spruogis, Amirhossein Zamaninia added that Lithuania has offered technological assistance for Iran’s liquefied natural gas projects, LNG World News reported.

Lithuania also offered to invest in Iran’s LNG projects, National Iranian Gas Company informed. Besides LNG, Lithuania showed interest in cooperating in shale oil and shale gas fields as well as eagerness to import crude oil and oil products from Iran.

Zamaninia noted that the country will take the Lithuanian offer into consideration due to its experience in the field of LNG.
