German industrial group Siemens plans to cut about 2,500 jobs related to the oil and gas, metals and mining sectors, mostly in Germany, it said in a statement. The cuts come after the company said last month it was cutting or transferring to other countries more than 1,000 jobs at a unit making gear for oil drillers and mining companies, Reuters reported.
