Close to 1.6 million tons of natural gas condensate  (NGC) worth $1.4 billion were exported from Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) in October, showing a 164 percent and 170 percent increase in terms of weight and value respectively compared to the same month last year, managing director of PSEEZ customs administration office said, IRNA reported.

Khodadad Rahimi said a total of 2.5 million tons of products such as light and heavy polyethylene, butane, propane and gas condensate worth $2.1 billion were exported in the said period, a 107 percent and 115 percent jump in terms of weight and value respectively compared to October 2013.

Gas condensates comprise 64 percent of weight and 69 percent of value of the total exports in October.

Approximately 897,000 tons of non-oil products were exported in October worth $663 million, a 50 percent increase in terms of weight and 48 percent increase in terms of value compared to the same period last year.

PSEEZ products are exported to several countries including Qatar, Azerbaijan, China, Ukraine and Mexico.

Located on the shore of the Persian Gulf 300 kilometers southeast of Bushehr Province, PSEEZ utilizes the South ýPars field oil and gas resources and is aimed at encouraging commercial activities in oil, gas and ýpetrochemical industries.
