Iran exported 2.2 million tons of petrochemicals in the past five months, generating $1.49 billion in revenues, managing director of Petrochemical Commercial Company said.
"The exports were carried out by PCC from late March until the end of the Iranian month ending August 22," Mehdi Sharifi Niknafs was quoted as saying by ISNA.
It included 16 cargos worth around $87 million. The shipments also included $303 million worth of heavy naphtha, $218 million of paraxylene, $165 million of styrene and $118 of heavy polyethylene in the period, among other petrochemicals.
