Oman’s oil production rose during the first half of this year by 2.9% to reach 175.6 million barrels, compared with 170.8 million barrels during the same period of last year. National Center for Statistics and Information said the country continued to increase its oil production during the current year, KUNA reported. According to NCSIOman’s oil production is expected to hit 1 million barrels per day this year. The highest average daily production of oil this year was in June, reaching 992,700 bpd, while the highest amount of oil was produced in March, which stood at 30.2 million barrels. The country's total oil production during 2014 amounted to 344.3 million barrels, including 312.5 million barrels of crude oil and 31.8 million barrels of oil condensate, with a daily average production of 943,500 barrels.
