Alireza Gharibi, managing director of Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company, said on Monday, "Build-Operate-Transfer contract to expand Iran Gas Trunkline-6—aka IGAT-6—was finally signed between Gas Engineering and Development Company and Pasargad Energy Development Company," Shana reported. The project includes laying 590 km of pipeline in addition to installing five pressure regulating gas stations at an estimated cost of $2.2 billion. The project is due to finish in two years.
